Prince of Orange

Prince of Orange

Light
Philodendrons thrive in medium to bright indirect light, but will tolerate darker spots as well.

Soil
Use a well-draining potting mix, such as our Aroid Potting Mix, ideally containing some coco coir, bark and perlite. You can also grow Philodendrons in soil-less mixes like sphagnum moss and perlite or hydroponics.

Water
Philodendrons like their soil to dry between waterings. Water when the top 3cm of soil are totally dry to the touch.

Humidity
Most Philodendron, especially the Erubesecens varieties, will thrive in average humidity. However, some of the more tropical and velvety species will require higher humidity to survive.

Toxicity
All Philodendron are toxic to humans and animals if ingested.

The Philodendron Prince of Orange gets its name from its uniquely hued leaves, which change color over time. New growth starts a starburst yellow when it first emerges, transitioning first to copper tones, and ultimately settling into darker shades of green. This plant is a self-heading Philodendron hybrid.

Philodendron Prince of Orange is a self-heading variety in with stunning, changing colours! New leaves are bright, glossy starburst yellow to orange and mature to yellow-green. With age, this Aroid’s foliage tends to get more coarse and its leaves more prominently ribbed. If you have a thing for colour-changing Philodendron, this houseplant will bring you joy!

Philodendron Prince of Orange is a very easy-going and very rewarding houseplants for both beginners and more seasoned plant parents! It is very adaptive to different conditions, so it makes for the perfect choice for a corner with low light. It will also forgive you if you forget to water it sometimes.
